Epoxy primer recoat window?

I had problems with my primer gun today and sputtered through my first coat. I have the problem worked out but it's been 3-4 hours since I sprayed the first coat. It was about 75* in the booth and still about the same temp now. Can I go ahead and spray the second coat now? I live in So. Ca. so it's too late to call with the time difference.

shoot it, the recoat window for epoxy is 7 days

I read where it said "the longer you wait between coats, the better" so I sprayed it that night. I'm beginning to think that I read more than I work but that's the only way I can learn! Thanks Bob for confirming what I did. I do feel better now.

I bought a can of Nason ful-poxy 491-16 epoxy primer..The last epoxy primer I used was ppg dp40lf and it have a recoat window of 7 days with out sanding.I cant find any information on this Nason of what the recoat window is? Says can be top coated within 24 hours with out sanding. Am I right that I only have 24 hours to top coat??

Check the product's tech sheet but it sounds like 24hrs is the recoat window.

Do what Bob says! Always have the tech sheet on the product being used. Good luck with your project. Scott

That's not unusual, a lot of different brands of epoxy have a 24 hr re coat window.
Some even say you can paint over them as soon as they flash.
