Epoxy. Is my homework correct?

Hi all.

I am getting ready to place an order for some epoxy and want to verify I am understanding what I have searched on this forum.

My project is a 67 E type roadster. A very straight and rust free CA car on a rotisserie.

I am sending the body to be media blasted (at a local shop familiar with these cars) with walnuts and a mix of glass. I am being told one is for paint and the other media is for light rust. I am also being told the hood may end up being cleaned with a different process (chemical and then soda) to reduce the chance of warpage.

Questions.

Any glaring issues with the media blasting mentioned above?

Is the surface left by the walnut and glass media ok to epoxy over or does it need the 80 grit DA treatment? I understand if the hood is soda blasted I need to neutralize prior and DA.

Is the 700-1 final wipe and epoxy?
Preference on cloth to wipe with?

Can we confirm the below key times for the epoxy?

Spray and the first 24 hours- keep above 65 and no filler.
24 hours to 7 days- Filler ok over epoxy with no sanding.
7 days to 30 days-light sand then filler
30 days and up- reapply epoxy before filler.

The body is straight but will require light filler with that in mind, Is best practice 2 or 3 coats of epoxy for the first spray over media blasted metal? will the gallon of primer and gallon of activator be enough or should I buy 2 of each?

As long as old lead is in place can it be epoxied over with out any prep work?

thanka

Get two gal epoxy kits for sure. Pay special attention to hidden areas where media will collect, not be seen and cause rust. Ditto hidden areas that need epoxy protection (underneath those headlight openings etc...). I would put three or four coats of epoxy on prepped metal on that car. Are you opening the rocker panels? Careful blasting the hood louvers. Careful blasting threads for bolts or studs as this etches the metal and WILL rust profusely no matter what you do to it. Plug or duct tape threads before blasting, better greasy than blasted. Personally (and I may get flamed for this) but I wold not solvent clean blasted metal to prime. Blow with dry air and wipe by hand with gloves. I would however clean the car multiple times BEFORE blasting. Beautiful car, great year (mine is a 67 fhc).
What color?

With the glass and walnut shell, you must da the outside with 80.
Inside we can just wash with 700 and epoxy.
Also, if he used soda on the hood, we must neutralize. So make sure he lets you know.
Fantastic car!

Also, lead work.
Us no treatments at all, give a smooth job with 80 da, clean with 700 only never use a solvent born—clean day night before spraying epoxy.
Do not apply any glaze or filler over the lead, only over the epoxy.
