Dirt Nibs- Wetsanding-Thoughts on film thickness

Just finished clearing car two weeks ago and spent the weekend wetsanding. Have painted/wetsanding multiple cars prior but somehow managed to get a bunch of trash/dirt nibs in this one....?? Still scratching my head on where the dirt came from as I've built the same garage filtered "booth" in the past!

How confident should I be on film thickness in the halo around the nib? I know it depends on many factors-just looking for general guidance. For example is it safe to assume the bottom of the halo is half of the overall thickness of the clear, or is it less? Any thoughts/opinions would be very helpful. I know that the bigger the dust particle the deeper the halo. I am sanding with 1000 on the initial and it appears I am removing a LOT material to get to the bottom of the halo but no break throughs 3/4 of the way around the vehicle.

The process I use:
-4 wet coats of UV. The last coat is heavier but typically no runs. I don't flow coat since I cut and buff anyway.
-hard block everything first with 1000 to remove any trash or peel with a 1" piece of oak cutting out most of the peel and nibs
-switch to a durablock once 90% of any peel is gone and use this to block out any other inclusions
-use a soft block for all following grits (1200/1500/200) before buffing

Any perspectives on how confident I can be sanding to the bottom of the halo's around the dirt nibs? I'm willing to cheat with a soft block around the bigger nibs to avoid sanding through. Thoughts?

This car is dark blue metallic btw. Thanks!

I appreciate the feedback Texasking, Crashtech and OrangeJuiced86. I spent a lot of time making it straight and trying to avoid going backwards. Appreciate this forum and it's contributors
