Diamont mixing toners

I have some diamont mixing toners that I picked up at a paint store that was closing. Some are new and some say system 88. What do I need to add to these colors before I can spray them? Do they need binder added or what. Looking at mixing formulas printed on all the cans I have all I see is colors and usually some reducer added first but no binder. Is the binder in the toners?

diamont toners are basecoat. there is nothing concentrated about them where they need binder...mostly. anything that is on the rack in the can, you can just reduce, pour in a gun and spray. where binder comes in is the pearls in the small bottles. when you add those to the basecoats you need to add 3x the binder by weight. binder being bc100. so if you had a formula with 100g black and 10g of blue pearl then you also need to add 30g of bc100 as an additional binder for the pearl being added. the only thing that doesnt apply is the pearls that are in the quart cans. those are basecoat like all the others and can just be added. as for you system 88, i have no idea what that is. never heard of it. i dont think that is any part of the diamont system. i had a diamont rack for 8 years and never saw any product that said that on it.

Those System 88 are really old, I can't tell you exactly when but I started spraying Diamont in the early 90's and the some of the R-M Diamont toners then said System 88. They dropped the System 88 but the toner numbers stayed the same.
