Dawn Dish Soap Question

Seeing as there is like 68 different Dawn Dish soap products, what do you use from this list?

1. Dawn Original
2. Dawn Ultra
3. Dawn Platinum
4. Dawn Professional
5. Dawn Ultra Antibacteria.

Just kidding about the 68 different brands but, if I tell my wife to pick me up a bottle at the supermarket, she'll call me and ask, "which one".....of course my response will be, how do I know, I don't do the dishes!

Last time I bought some it was the blue Ultra, which seems to be just a concentrated form of the Original. It has worked well.

Thanks Chris......might have seemed like a stupid question but, when you're a beginner painter like myself and I go to look up Dawn Dish soap products and have five to choose from.....I freaked, lol

The answer is buy it yourself, because whichever one she brings home is going to be the one you use.

Last go around I got a 4 gallon case from clean it supply of the pot and pan super concentrate for 67.00.

When washing down a panel with soapy water, do you use a microfiber cloth? a soft brush? does it matter? thanks

Doesn't matter, If I am washing directly before paint I will wash it down with a grey scotchbrite. or a red one if I'm not terribly concerned about the courser scratch.

So after I sand to 400 grit in 2k or if I had to sand some flaws in base or clear, I can wash with micro fiber and soapy water, rinse really well.

i use the original. when i wash a car after blasting i use a white brush.

you can sand nibs in base with 710 wax and grease remover or plain water. once it has flashed off very well. clear you sand with water after it has dried in the wetsanding and budding process

Just make sure it does not have hand-softening lotion in it.
Stick to the original formula for safety.
