Wow!, Had no idea you did stuff like this.
This must be from the van experience!

Beautiful work Shine. I like wood -- dashes, consoles, steering wheels, etc. The '87 Corvette I bought in '91 (and still drive) already had the wood dash and console but I added the steering wheel. The tiny storage space under the convertible top was filled with a carpeted wooden box with speakers, subwoofers and a CD changer in it. When I ripped it out, I discovered that convertible Vettes didn't have storage bins or doors (I think the original speakers filled the space). I put the coupe storage doors in and made some mahogany plywood panels to cover them (instead of carpet pieces). I normally finish woodwork with a dozen or so coats of marine varnish with lots of wet sanding between coats. Because the doors get stuff piled on them, I chose to use casting resin this time. It seems to be holding up and it's pretty easy to buff out scratches. Have you ever used casting resin on your woodwork?

i use envirotech products. they are 2 part polymers . the ex74 is new and has uv additives in it.

This is the one I used and it didn't mention UV additives but did say it was for outdoor use. When I finish this pack, I'll try to find the ex74.

as far as i know the ex74 is the only uv one. may have changed . i spent a lot of time on the phone with one of the tech people there . the finish would get real soft in sun lite then go back rock hard and clear when cooled. they were developing the ex74 then for uv protection.
