I have a question regarding rust inhibitors. Can corroseal be used or is ospho let better route to go, then prime over with epoxy primer?

Ospho is just diluted phosphoric acid essentially. It would be the only acid treatment SPI recommends. And it must be neutralized correctly. If you are unsure search "neutralize ospho" here on the forum. You will find a lot of answers.
I would not use the Corroseal product. And if you did do not use SPI epoxy over it. It is simply a rust converting primer. None of which is compatible with modern automotive refinish products.

Remember if you use Ospho it must be neutralized correctly otherwise any epoxy applied over it will fail.

I did buy some Ospho at the local ace hardware. I didn't think the corroseal would be any good either. Just wondering. Thank you for the reply.

Corroseal leaves a film on it. More like a barrier, but also turns rust black. It has it's purpose, but if you want to paint over it for something nice, then do not use it. I used it on an old frame and it hard to reach spots. It fit the bill for me, on that. On body panels, no way.
