Corner Carving 57 Buick Behemoth

Making progress. Not perfect but pretty ok for a nice driver. I think to get it any better I would have to hard block it and I just don’t want to go that far.

One pass with the yellow wool pad and 500 followed by one pass with the burgundy foam pad and 510 leaves a pretty decent finish for just compound. The foam removes a lot of the wool swirls. I know that burgundy pad is stupid expensive but it works great and seems to last a long time.

I think the universal wouldn’t work well for me. I live on a dusty road and it’s a little too soft. For some reason I’m finding this round of single stage to be easier to compound. I think maybe it’s due to my modified sanding process and my two step compounding process.

I use a pad cleaner it keeps pad clean and running Kool I also use arinseless wash with adamp micro towel to wipe panels dry wipes leave micro marks works great on dark colors also works cleaning jams

good to know ive noticed once universal reaches full cure it definetly dosent scratch as easy just takes a while hard to beat single stage durability though.

Wow, very nice! What is the burgundy pad you are using?
You’ll need a heavy duty rotary polisher because it really grabs. I use a Makita.
