Cleaning Wool Buffs

I have searched for ways to clean wool buffs and have come up with nothing, Can you guys give me the right way to clean them? I appreciate all the help in advance!

I have one of the pad washing buckets. It actually works well. There is always a thick sludge on the bottom. But, it doesn't get everything. Using a blower and spur along with the bucket is a pretty good combo.

I probably will get flack for this but what works best for me is I
lay the wool pad on a hosed off section of my driveway (to be clean)
and then I hose the pad off until clean. It really cleans it good.
Afterwards I remount the pad and spin it on high to throw the water off.
It makes it like new.

works great JC . i do this when i'm done so the pad will be clean . although i rarely use wool any more . i keep a buck of water to clean my sponge pads like a sponge . then spin them dry .

For wool, like Shine said air works well if the compound is dry. You can help it along a little by mounting the wool pad and spinning it and using your fingers to help clean it. I like using the water nozzle to clean foam pads. Shake em several times after, then mount on your buffer and spin em.
