Clean rust

Ok so since im new to your products, whats the recomend on this. New bare metal panels and spots of surface rust.
Plan on them is cut sides and make them about an inch longer down to frame rails.
Should we oxpho and leave till our metalwork is done and then re oxpho to final clean for epoxy?

Personally, if I didn't media blast it, I would just use one of the black "cookie" discs. 3M 7460. Hole in the middle to fit on a mandrel and use it with your die grinder.Would make quick work of that rust.

Have a bunch of those disks in the shop.

Im going to have him call whoever made his hood and see what coatings on it too.

looks like a material known as paint loc alot of fabricators use for industrial stuff. its like a zinc galvaneal coating that replaces a phosphate needed for paint to adhere. sadly you are probably dealing with fingerprints.

Ya kinda though hand prints, or stuff just not on well. Been sitting for years in storage after he had them make it to his custom size.
