Can this be spot repaired?

There actually were a total of 3 areas in and around the same area that were cut thru to base.

You've already done it, and it won't hurt anything. But I want to put this out there for next time, and/or other readers: You can spot prime and still basecoat an entire panel if desired. Base coat will adhere well to the fairly fresh clear. Use of a full coat of something on the whole panel before base is probably best done with epoxy mixed as sealer instead of three full coats of unreduced epoxy. Such a technique uses less material, costs less, takes less labor (mostly sanding labor), and minimizes excessive film build.

I did 1 coat over the 3 repaired areas and then 2 coats. Probably sanded 1 coat off due to clear the orange peal, and I thought it was smooth. :( I agree, an experienced painter could have fixed this probably with a simple spot repair. In any event, I hope to be done tomorrow.

Finished yesterday with 5 coats of clear! I really wanted 3 coats and a job that I didn't have to cut and buff but that was dreamland. After the 1st coat I noticed a little sag on the vertical right panel, guess I'll never learn. At the end of the 2nd coat, the hose brushed up against the left side vertical panel. I was doing the sides first then the top, I later woke up and did the top side 1st then the sides. I have plenty of clear on to flatten it all out. Thanks all for the help.
