Building to Sell?

I bought a 56 Ford F100 off of Craigslist yesterday. :) Gonna give it a try. Also vintage Japanese stuff is coming on strong as well. 240Z's have more than doubled in value over the last year.

Cab needs pans and cab corners, fairly solid otherwise. Not much surface rust/pitting. Bed needs a lot of work. Frame is decent. Interior is hshot but that doesn't matter. It had a title so that was a plus. It was stored in a drafty barn for 40+ years so the rust is by no means extensive. I'm gonna do a big window conversion and the Coyote motor/6r80 auto tranny swap. Just copy what I have seen be successful. Just trying to figure out ways to make enough money to leave my job and work for myself fulltime. I probably won't get started until I finish one of the 3 240Z's that I am/ will be working on.

Chris, I hope you will post it in the projects section. I am very curious about the resto mods and old trucks around here are still going for reasonable prices.

scottsdale this year had early truck restomods and early vette restomods up 20% or better. built right trucks were bring 100k . the vettes were insane. a 58 wet for 350k .

Chris, sounds like a nice project, I would like to do a 51/52 some day.

I have been working on a big window 57 Chevy pickup restomod for nearly 4 years. Though I expect a decent profit, I bet it comes out to less than $5 per hour. I find it is a balance of time vs money. I can throw a lot of expensive catalog parts at it and be done way quicker with little or no profit. Or I can fabricate and recondition parts to save money but cost a lot of time.
