Just a little backup for Jim C. I've done some extensive repairs on ABS body parts that have stood up to daily abuse for five years now. This was body cladding and steps on a "Southern Comfort" GMC Sierra that had been hit and was cracked extensively. Since replacement parts were going to run about $2000 I decided to try the acetone trick and it worked really well. Total cost - $15 for a gallon of acetone at Homer's.
