Breathe Cool fresh air system

Excuse my ignorance here but I'm looking to try to do some painting in my garage and want to get a fresh air system. This Breathe Cool unit is available used locally for about half off.

My question is, where does the unit go? It only comes with a 25' hose and I'm guessing the unit has to be somewhere outside completely away from any and all vapors but I can't for the life of me make sense of how to use it in a regular 2 car garage. Seems like 25' is way too short to make sure you're free of any isocyanates. This is probably a dumb question but I've never seen one in use for painting so I'm just confused on how to make it work safely.

Normally the unit would sit OUTSIDE of the paint booth in an area free of any fumes, vapors, etc., with only the hose extending inside the booth for the breathing air. If you do not have a paint booth, the unit needs to be outside the paint area. Keep in mind any running vehicles also present a breathing hazard, so locate accordingly.

Breathecool offers extension hoses reasonably priced. That should allow you to place the intake well outside the contaminated area.

Thanks guys. I figured that but I just wanted to make sure. I was thinking if those filters on the unit filter out isocyanates then why wouldn't they just make a respirator with those? Makes sense that it needs to be far away. I'll need the longer hose but it looks like their site is down until the 4th so I'll price it out when they're back up.

The filters are for particulates, bugs, etc.. Imagine you're in the booth spraying and all of a sudden there's a bee inside your mask! Those filters keep that from happening.

i have a large shop vac . fill it with ice then it plumbs to a 55 gal barrel with a coil in it. that barrel is full of well water and ice ( milk jugs frozen ) then to my blasting hood or paint hood . works great here in july .
