Brake fluid damage to single stage black

So I just returned from a 3400 mile round trip to the Bonneville salt flats. When I cleaned the car up I noticed the frame on the passenger side had almost a orange peel look with a splash like pattern on it. As it turns out my custom brake/hydraulic clutch reservoir that I has a vent line run up into the A pillar was pushing brake fluid out and it ran down inside the pillar and cowl area behind the interior panel without me noticing it then worked its way outside and splashed down the side of the frame.
So the paint seems solid but swelled, I believe I have enough paint on the frame to fix it but does anyone know if the swelling will decrease in time. If so, I could wait until the swelling has decreased, then sand and buff again.
thanks for any help!
dave

Pardon my ignorance.
What is the significance of this statement?
Is DOT-5 paint-friendly?

Yes, it is paint friendly. Where DOT 3 & 4, are not paint friendly. DOT-5 is a silicone based product. DOT-5 has a much higher boiling point than DOT 3 & 4.

DOT 3 & 4 are good products when used for their intended purpose. DOT-5 is primarily used on vehicles that see high braking applications, such as in racing. DOT-5 was designed for military vehicles.

DOT-5 can't be mixed with DOT- 3 or 4.

Here is a link explaining DOT- 3, 4, 5.

I don't know if friendly is the word. Dot 5 won't eat your paint; however, once silicone is on your paint you will have a time getting it off. It's so bad that aerospace companies that make parts out of carbon fiber materials don't allow silicone into their buildings - and that includes silicon gasket sealer. Silicone eliminates adhesion.
