Booth floor covering

Backyard Hack
When I was at Kindigit taking their paint course they had a booth floor covering that was a white woven sticky material. I asked and they told me it was booth paper but I’ve been unable to find that particular product. Anyone know what it was?

Thanks,
Don

Mines covered with stains, grease spots, paint spillage, filler drops, motor oil and dirt most of the time. LOL
Requires major cleaning every time I get ready to spray paint.
Even had one of these guys in there:

I’ve been reading up and talking to painters- even seen it on here- I think I might try carpet next time - local guy swears by it in his booth

Just my opinion, but I don't like the idea of carpet. All the stuff I sweep out of the booth each time is now in the carpet and I then have to vacuum instead of sweep. Dirt in the paint doesnt come from the floor but lint from the carpet could easily make its way to the car.

Here is the stuff we've used in booths. Expensive but it works well. Cheaper stuff doesn't work as good. It lets go sooner and you have to reapply. If you floor is already caked with overspray/paint it won't stick well, but if it's relatively clean it will.

Thanks Chris. I’ve also used that product. I liked the woven material because it was tacky.

Don, have you thought about the sprayable stuff that dries tacky? Being you are not a production type Shop you could get quite a few uses out of it. You peel it off when you want to replace it. Worked at a couple of places that used it. Spray it on, peel it off when it's used up.

I had a big copperhead get into my old shop and get behind some plywood leaning up against my DIY paint booth. Ended up blowing a hole in the side of my paint booth with a shotgun trying to shoot that snake. :D. I knew that snake would haunt me forever in that shop if I didn’t get it.

I use something like that on my walls. I need something a little tougher for the floors because I am rolling my rotisserie with steel wheels in and out of the booth regularly.

Thanks,
Don

Yikes! That is a BIG rattlesnake! How did you get him out of there?
Actually it is a Bull Snake often called a Gopher Snake. They will imitate the movements of a rattlesnake to scare people off.
I swept it out with a broom and notice it was moving really slow. Turns out it had just eaten something and was not able to react too quickly. Probably why it was coming in the garage to hide and digest its meal. Notice the bulge in it's belly.

No real issues with tape sticking to it to seal up things. I vacuum it real good with a shop vac before big jobs. This stuff has been in for a year now and I can say it's helped in my situation anyways. My concrete is old and very pitted. So it's hard to clean and I hate wetting down floors.

The other plus..it's comfortable to kneel on and lay down on. I would have never thought about that until I had to lay down a few times and I damn near fell asleep! Again it's all preference. For years I papered the floors before painting. What a pain that was.

I feel that! Man, I don't like snakes. . . I would have been like Elmer Fudd with his Blunderbuss blowing holes in everything.
Luckily here in western Washington all we have are Garters and Gopher snakes. Nothing poisonous or aggressive.

Glad you didn't kill him '68. So many people have an irrational fear of snakes. I don't want to hug them but I realize that they are not trying to kill me. Out here in the country a few black snakes around is a good thing. Keeps the mouse population down. I'm kind of a softy when it comes to animals of all types. I've gotten to the point where I don't like killing anything.
Little baby Copperhead bit one of my dogs a few years ago. Rushed her to the emergency vet only to be told that there wasn't a lot for them to do other than charge me $200. My dog pulled through fine. Side of her face was swollen for a few days. I didn't kill the copperhead, maybe I should have. Didn't have the heart, just moved him down into the field about a 1/4 mile from the house.
