I'm in door & window business in Fla.
Best I've found out, particularly with anything vinyl windows not beige or white is that manufacturers use heat rejecting coatings. Think fiberglass window manufacturers (Marvin, etc, do the same, but 100% acrylic should be fine.
Aquasurtech in canada is the only place I know of.
Played with their stains & clears some, but haven't tried the solid color formulations. I think d-100 is one & there is a newer one now.
All water based & fast dry.
For fiberglass doors, I usually just use a commercial 100% acrylic such as SW multi-surface or Coranado rust scat from BM stores. Usually no primer if prepped right. I do these regularly at the day job. I've done white, black , red, beiges, yellows, greens, browns, etc, etc, and of course stains. Mostly semi-gloss.
Now for a bad ass paint job, hit with a pretty thin coat of spi epoxy for best adhesion, regardless of what you're painting with. Limited colors, but SPI single stage would be awesome. Even lower cost ss topcoat paint can be an upgrade. Shiny will highlight wavy smooth door defects though.
I am talking door slabs only for automotive paint .Frames & trim need holefill & caulk.
