Battery acid treatment

I am repairing the radiator support on my 68 Chevelle from the damage caused by the battery over the years. Will blasting be a good enough treatment of the area for the epoxy to adhere to or is there more that needs to be done? I drilled the spot welds out so that the metal can be properly cleaned on all sides including the hidden back side behind the various braces. I am sure some would say just to buy an aftermarket one, but I am kinda using this to hone my sheet metal skills. A lot of my work is hidden with the different support pieces, so it doesn't really matter how pretty it actually is, but I am trying to limit my use of filler so that I know my abilities before jumping off into something that isn't hidden. I cut out all of the really bad stuff, but there is still some mild pitting in certain areas. I want to make sure that once I epoxy it, I am done with it and the epoxy sticks. I know the proper procedure to neutralize phosphoric acid, but I don't know if I need to follow this, and then blast it or vice versa, or if blasting is good enough. Thanks, Will

15 years ago i did the blast and clean with 700 and epoxied a battery tray that could not see and the generator was causing the battery to seep on charging.
I went to an alternator and a gel battery and the tray is still perfect as of this morning.
Now if say an out side fender gets acid and you don't want to blast, say for warp-age then we strip and treat metal with Ospho, neutralize and epoxy.

Thank you Barry. I did not realize that the generators would cause the batteries to do that. My car had an alternator on it when I bought it, but it may have had a generator on it from the factory. That was before my time. The radiator support was trashed on the battery side, but looked perfect on the other side. Same with the inner fender. The outer fender has maybe a quarter size that I will probably drill out with a hole saw. You could see where it had gotten behind the braces and proceeded to destroy the sheet metal. Either way, I plan on blasting everything and epoxy priming it. Thank you for the support.

I was looking for suggestion for my battery related issue, I have generator in my home that was installed and connected for living area, bedroom and kitchen. I want to extend the arrangement for my changing and bathroom, a friend of mine suggested me residential electrical upgrades NJ team for the work. But I would really appreciate your point of view. Should I install the new system or extend the existing connection.

in your home??? i hope it is outside your home. i have a 17k watt gen and it will power my complete home. mine runs off my tractor outside .
