Basecoat gun

I was wondering about basecoat guns. I see new guns coming out specifically for basecoat such as a new Tekna, and Iwatas. It's not that i'm having problems with basecoat, but if there is something new and better, why not. My main basecoat gun is a Satajet 3000 HVLP 1.3, and I also have a Iwata LPH400 that could be converted to the orange and purple caps. Basecoat being easier to spray might be the reason people don't inquire much about which gun is best, I feel we all are trying to find the best for clears.

Would a 1.2 nozzle ( I never tried one) help with the thinner low voc basecoats?

Im getting the LS-400 entech not the old version,,i got the info from a guy who use to be the factory rep. For 7 years he say is the best gun for base i use PPG solvent base he say 1.3 set up will be perfect, the second choice he told me is the WALCOM carbonio,Tekna is good too..

I have a sata jet 3000b hvlp and it sprays base like a boss. all my metallic and tri stage jobs have come out perfect. I bought it used and then rebuilt it, maybe you need to go through the gun and make it new again

I don't have any problems with it, actually never had. These guns are pricey, but I don't remember having any part to replace ever since I bought it new over 10 years ago.
