Sorry for a possible ignorant question. I have some parts that are made up of a plastic labeled "ASA/PC", they look like they are going to be a pain to prep.. Would these possibly fall under the category of just clean and shoot?

ASA is very similar to ABS although this is blended with PC (polycarbonate) so not too familiar with it. Not an expert but guessing you might want to treat it like you would finishing ABS.

yep blend of the two. you should not need any adhesion promoter or anything like that. polycarb is a sand and epoxy prime plastic so not hard to stick to but the asa mixed in may make it so you dont need to sand it at all just like abs BUT you will need to do a test to know. it boils down to % of the mixture. just take some acetone or lac thinner on a rag and wipe the plastic. if it melts it and comes off on to the rag then just shoot it. no sanding necessary.
