Another Marketing Gimmick?

Seems like it has its place, but not for most of what we do. Cleanup of an unrestored survivor car, maybe.

I've witnessed dry ice blasting first hand. Works great, nothing to clean up other than removed debris........

Dry ice blasting works well particularly on grime. We have a dry ice blaster at work that we use to clean stamping presses. Takes out all the grime, leaves the paint alone. Of course our presses are painted with epoxy paints, so that may have something to do with it. I have seen dry ice take out automotive paint pretty easily. I dont know the condition of that paint, so its hard to tell what it would do to "good" paint. Rust... not so much. Sure if you blow 50lbs of dry ice on that 1 square foot of rust it will get it off there eventually, but it isnt very cost effective for rust.
