Backyard Hack
I delivered this 69 Camaro painted roller to a customer and he won at the Dallas Fort Worth Goodguys show. SPI black single stage. He does a great job of finishing these cars. Pretty good for a couple of backyard hacks. Love this SPI single stage. Thanks to Barry and the forum members who have taught me a lot.

there's nothing like single stage black . i love it. used centari for many years .

looked a place not far from you don . had it been 10 miles further north in oklahoma i could have lived with the taxes . texas has just gone nuts on taxes.

Agreed the taxes are high but we love the rolling terrain with the oak trees and sandy soil. Quiet and plenty of wildlife with Lake Ray Roberts close by.

we're in the puluxy river valley in a town so small it has no government . yet our taxes are sky high . tiny school with only 36 kids in high school . going to miss it but there is just no end in site. robinhood is killing us .
get aross the river and they drop by almost 2/3 .

Just out of curiosity Shine, what are the taxes ? We talked about moving to Texas years back, but never pulled the trigger.

Property taxes are around 2.5%. No income tax. We have 15 acres but we have a wildlife property tax exemption on 14 acres. Saves quite a bit but takes some effort to maintain the exemption.

depending on where you live taxes on a 350k house can be 4500 to 8k a year . all but 4 acres of my place is ag exempt but they are still too high for our small house. my shop is larger than my house . i fight value increase every year but mine are still 1600 which is not bad but too high for what i have.
rates just across the river drop to around .56 and the value of a house drops around 100k . texas has been red hot for years. and no signs of cooling off. my land has just become way too expensive to keep .

rust defender is some good stuff. it and slick sand are my favorites . i'm leaning towards zchrome on the fleetline .
