An Airbrush For Christmas!

Finally got my first airbrush. Iwata Eclipse HP-CS with hose and quick disconnect.
I want to use it to touch up some scratches on the 65 Buick where the owner had me take off the trim to send out for re-chroming.
Do I need to reduce the primer, base and clear to use the airbrush?
Remember I have never used one before so do expect me to know anything.

Thanks in advance,
Jim

you will need to reduce everything so it flows through the brush correctly. you will also find on metallic and pearl you cant touchup with it. the paint never matches with an airbrush and you'll always see the repair.

Glad you mentioned that as I have a couple of small scratches where the edge of the chrome is on the upper window channels. I was thinking I could use the air brush to touch up these small areas.
