It’s a bit of a fool’s errand building a truck like this to make money. That wasn’t the goal from the outset. Owner just kept piling stuff on. :)

A general rule of thumb is that labor equals materials on a frame off build like this. I usually come in around labor 70% of materials. I don’t charge a top end labor rate because I feel it limits the drama. When guys pay top dollar they expect perfection and can be a bit of a PITA. I promise good driver quality. YMMV…

I also understand and apply the law of diminishing returns. That last 5% to get to absolute perfection drives the cost and timeline up exponentially…
