69 Fastback Mustang pro-touring build

Car has been held up waiting for exhaust fab but it’s finally done and ready to be sent out for coating. It was extremely tight and none of the available headers came close to fitting. Hoping to see it finished soon.

I think sometimes guys get lost in the pursuit of perfection. My work is far from perfect but I’m an engineer by trade so I did a lot of cost-benefit analyses in my former years. These builds are a case study in the law of diminishing returns. I also learned a lot about project planning and execution. I carry that experience to these projects. Speaking of which this will be my final year for customer builds. Just two small projects left to go. Time to focus on a few of my own cars while I still have the energy.
Nice work Don! You never cease to amaze.

Curious Don if that's actually the case? What's up with the 57 Buick wagon?

No unfortunately I’m still doing customer builds. It seems I have a hard time saying no. :) Currently doing a 70 Chevelle. Then a 65 Chevelle and a 69 Charger. Hopefully that’s the last of the customer builds. Then I will finish my Buick wagon. Not getting any younger… :)

I'm relieved to hear the Buick wagon will get it's shot at stardom. The black with red accents you posted is so sexy. I'd sell all my cars to own that. That's how much I love that car.

Good on you for not giving up.
