69 camaro urethane front bumper job.

yes. If it floated it's not urethane. More than likely TPO or some other variant. Cheaper to produce than urethane. Scuff stuff and a grey scotchbrite pad, then wipe down with SPI 700 or alcohol. Important to use a waterbased W&G remover. Then follow the instructions on the SPI Ad-Pro that is in the Tech Manual. Follow up with epoxy while the ad-pro is in it's recoat window.
All I have is Bulldog. No the spray can kind, the kind you spray out of gun.

Lot of us have had bad experiences with bulldog ad-pro. Get some SPI if you can. If you have to use the bulldog all the above still applies. Read the TDS of Bulldog product as well. Google the name of the product and part number and "TDS" to find it.

Thanks guys. I’m getting some spi ad-pro tomorrow trashing the bulldog. One other question. My Spi epoxy activator is about three years old and it’s really dark in color. I used some of it about three months ago and it was fine other than the dark color, gave the white epoxy a little tan tint. I guess my question is how old is too old on the activator for the Epoxy?

To add to my last post I don’t spray much I’m just a hobby painter. So that’s why I was asking about buying more epoxy activator, be cause I don’t spray much. But don’t want to have trouble either.

Check with Barry on the Tech Line. You can mix up a small batch, brush it on some metal and set in the sun for 4-6 hours. Then try sanding it with 180. If it sands nicely and feathers out then it is OK. Check with Barry though. He can tell you a better way to test it.
