Does anyone have any DA pads left for this paper? I heard they made a conversion pad but can't find one. I would like a long board for my Hutchins also. I got a great deal on a bunch of this paper but have no pads for the DA's or long board file.I need both 5 and 6 inch.

Maybe not such a great deal after all :( Thanks guys
 
One of 3M's MBA employess "better" ideas. They thought "hey the suckers have to buy the paper, let's design it so the pads wear out much more quickly and they'll have to buy the pads more often as well." Stuff is the reverse of Hookit. Every time the paper gets pulled off the pad the pad loses a little bit of it's adhesion. After a while the pads won't hold the paper, and the paper is actually stiffer than hookit because the hooks are on the pad. Stuff went over like a lead balloon. So they haven't made hookit II for a while now so pad availability is gonna be few and far between. Only thing I can tell you is search the web and keep looking at ebay every few days. A pad may show up there. 6" will be the easiest to find. The Hutchins long board pad is going to be very difficult to find as they were not very common to start with. The only conversion pad that I ever heard of was to convert hookit to hookit 2.

If I can find my old 3M catalog I'll post the 3M part numbers for the various pads you requested. It'll make searching the web a little easier.
 
I have a bunch of hookit 2 6" paper also, but my hookit 2 pad wore out as chris mentioned. To use the remainder I glue a hookit pad on to a psa pad back to front so the hooks face out. It works OK, the hookit 2 disks do stay on.
