2K Regular Build Primer How Do You Sand?

2K is on and ready to final sand and paint. What is the recommended grit progression/how do the pros do it?
Paint is SPI SS Red.

What grit was it applied over? How many coats of primer did you spray?

Single stage solid color is very forgiving. No need to go beyond 320 before sealer.

Base is SPI epoxy done at 220. Three coats of 2k. I kind of noticed that on the SS...fills pretty good and is some pretty good paint for what others I have seen....Novice here.

I usually go 320-400 for solid colors, and 500-600 for metallic

If you got enough primer on there, you could probably knock all the texture off with 220, then guide coat and switch to 320, but you need to watch out for edges when sanding with 220 or you could go through.

If you plan to cut and buff spray at least four coats of the single stage.

Thanks for the recommendations. "Plan" to cut and buff.....let's say I will put enough on because I likely can't lay it down smooth enough so it will be a "Definite" cut and buff. HAHA. I am hit and miss on it.

Think of it as spraying clear coat and not base coat. You want it going on wet enough to flow but not so wet it runs.
