1980 z28

As we were taking the front end apart we noticed we had a rust problem where the steering box and sway bar bolted to the frame

Sway bar bolts

There was a lot of rust inside the frame

Last Friday a semi delivered this DSE powdercoated assembled hyrdoformed subframe with rack and pinion steering and coilover shocks.

Painted the original color

Brian wet sanded and buffed the body

Unpacking the DSE front subframe assembly

Subfame installed

14" 6 piston Baer brakes

We are finished except for installing the windshield and back glass molding that the owner has. He will finish putting it together. I'm not sure what he is going to do with the rear suspension.

Great job as usual. These are really nice cars when they are done right. With the right stance and all the spoilers lined up and stripes, such as this one, they really look great. I have a silver one just like this with blue stripes needing a complete resto.

Boy thats scary having thats much rust .But you will have a very nice car when you are finished.I was luck with mine it just had a little being a T top car
