Blasting the big stuff (I so appreciate my little HF cabinet after crawling on the concrete today) and SPI Epoxy Primer day.

I love my blast cabinet since I can fit most parts into it.

This is a factory photo and mine is much more used looking than this. Using white glass/aluminum oxide mix media makes it a lot easier to see what you are doing.

Like you, I do the bigger parts outside on the driveway. Makes quite the mess but better outside than inside the garage. LOL

Yea I now love my cabinet even more!

Going to be one fine looking car when done. I am sure the excitement is building!

Not really.... We just keep doing all these little tedious unrelated things that don't show a lot of progress.... They are all setting up to be able to start assembling big chunks and feeling significant progress.... We are close!

Did you have any trouble fitting the chrome drip rail trim over the vinyl?

No I used a trick I found on a youtube video from some professionals. I cut the vinyl flush with the top of the rail. That way the trim only grabbed the vinyl on the backside of the rail and the top of the rail to the bottom of the rail was as it was before. It is a bit of a bugger to get it hooked but now that it is it should be easier the next time since it will be formed to hug the back of the drip rail.

I ended up doing the same thing on the Coronet. Was just wondering if it was me or if there was a wider trim molding available and I didn't know it.

Car is going to be real nice when you get it done.

Yes there is a different number for trim with and without the top. The aftermarket is all for with a top and fits loose without it.... so I am told. The Coronet had a top and trim so that one I wrapped around the drip rail and cut flush with the bottom of the face of the drip rail. That was how the factory one was.
