1966 Valiant for the Other Daughter....

Everything on the low side has been replaced with aftermarket and with NOS.
Assuming gauges are accurate because they work on other cars, and the fact it's not blowing cold,
there's definitely a restriction. You'd never have 15/250 if there wasn't.
I never charged or worked on a Mopar ac, 70's thru 90's GM has a filter screen that's part of the orifice tube and I've seen them clogged nearly solid with aluminum bits. People buy the auto parts store Freon tank with gauge on hose thing & wonder why the low never comes up much when they add gas. Compressor can go boom over a $5 orifice tube.
Yours must have a clogged filter somewhere or defective part. Wish I was close cause now i want to know what's wrong lol. You'll get it ice cold, I have faith. Do you vacuum it down to at least 28-29?

Spent Saturday at a show so did not get a lot done as we are all wiped out today... I realized that the front pillar is open to viewing and it has a lot of overspray so I masked it up and reshot it so it would like nice and slick... just need the metal shop to get the last 2 pieces of trim welded and polished.

Chryslers are TVX valves not orifices. Yup I worked on many many GMs in a past life and know exactly what you are saying.

Looking great Jim.
Txv valve- there you go. Had the one in my house 410a system stick once & condenser sounded like it wanted to rip itself off the concrete slab. If I ever have to empty system, I'm getting adapter to put good ol never fail orifice (piston they call it?) back in.
Try a new txv.

Have tried 3 Chinese crappers and a NOS Chrysler. The NOS actually functions. And a new condenser. System we completely removed, cleaned, flushed and blown out. It has been flushed 3-4 times.

Is that closed captioning what you tell other drivers?

Three women in the house... when watching something 2 or more are talking during the show and the others can hear what is going on. My daughters started turning that on so they could talk and still follow what was going on....

What did ya use to buff the glass?
I guess I was fixated on the Jameson and never noticed the tv.

Can never get it above 15 on the Duster... the Coronet works GREAT and it runs about 34/190PSI. I have seen the Duster over 250 with 15 on the low side. I have changed out virtually everything with new aftermarket and NOS... zero change.

Check the txv, some have an adjustment inside to create more or less spring pressure. Allowing more flow should help even out the huge pressure difference. I ran into this on one of my cars that had an aftermarket A/C system and I had to piece together random parts to make it all work again, and found out that TXV's come in different superheat ranges and some are adjustable.

Thanks, yup been down that path as well. Modified several of the Chinese TVX's

If time allows one day, video the gauges from before you turn ac on & then let it idle a minute.
I'm surprised the low psi cutout lets compressor run at 15, if it has one. Could ice & break evap.

If anybody wants to actually talk in person I’d be more than happy I’ve done so much that there’s no way I can tell everything that I did hear. I would love to solve this come afraid I’m heading down the same path with this Valiant

Do the video. We'll all be learning. Put a thermometer in best vent too.
I had no idea txv existed in cars, only thing I knew about them is they can fail in home units & cause headache you'd never have with plain Jane hole in a piece of brass lol.
