Yes, this was a real learning experience. First time installing a convertible top (probably my last as well. LOL) and I found the instructions given really made it more difficult than it had to be. I was never satisfied with the way it turned out.
 
The jobs that are supposed to be a simple "freshen up" have a way of turning into major ordeals. They are learning experiences though. Your relationship with the customer/owner ends up being that piece that will make or break the job.

The customer was really quite appreciative of all the work that went into this project. He realized that had he tried to do it himself the car would have been sold off as a project and never have gotten done.
