    Spray gun air regulator

It absolutely varies. Longer hose probably more drop, hose ID, fittings factor in. IIRC it was 38 at the wall to get 30 at the gun with 38' of 3/8" hose in my situation. I've been using a regulator lately but next time I clear with the Sata 5000 RP I am going to put on the gauge with no...

    Spray gun air regulator

It means it takes 5 lbs or so more at the wall to compensate for pressure drop of the hose. Example if you want 30psi at the gun you may need 35psi at the wall. The gauge at the gun verifies what you are getting at the gun. It could vary depending on the hose, ID and length.

    Spray gun air regulator

I rigged up a set up like that and liked it. Can'y blame any gun regulator for a restriction that way;). If a regulator at the gun is used it should be a diaphragm type and not a cheater valve. I have RTI, some nice small (Chinese?probably) ones I got off of Ebay that work well, and two new...

    Major re-shoot or blend?

First off, beautiful job. I see the problem is the doors, the rest appears OK. I hesitate to offer what I think will work for you. I think it depends on what base color you have to work with. Extra from the original work or do you need to get more mixed up? Might be a careful blend needed, full...

    69 Mustang Mach 1 Resto

I see what dhutton01 mentioned about the die cast extension. The mounting point for the sheet metal appears to be holding the valance down. Hard to tell from here why that is.

    A little rust repair job I did a few years ago… :D

What machines did you try? Only pulse Mig's in that range I am aware of are Miller 255 and HTP has the 220 and a larger powered one. I ordered the PP220 because I primaily wanted to try the Mig synergic / pulse features. It is so-so stick welder and I never intended to Tig weld with it because I...

    A little rust repair job I did a few years ago… :D

I just ordered an Esab Rogue 190 Pro Mig welder. Lot of features for the $$. Want it for light end stuff including sheet metal. I had good luck and was impressed with a Esab Rogue 200 Pro Tig/stick that I bought about 6 months ago so hope the Mig performs as well. I had a HTP Pro Pulse 220...

When I looked at the photos in your first post I thought the logos were painted on there for a subtle effect.

At this point I think you need to bury the artwork in the clear, let it cure a couple days then wet block it flat and then a couple more coats of clear.

    old mag wheel cleaning

DON'T put muriatic acid on aluminum! Phosphoric type would do some etching. I have used Bonderite Aero 33 from Henkel for cleaning aluminum with good results.

    Epoxy and silver solder.

I don't see any issues with epoxy adhesion on the silver solder as long as all the flux is removed and the you give the metal a tooth. Grit blast is nice if possible.

How long do you keep your welder on?

Some machines have better gas solenoid valves than others. I'm referring to how well they seal when they are supposed to shut the gas off. I have one high end Esab inverter Tig (German made) that will hold the gas for days and another cheaper Esab (China) that will leak down in 10 minutes. You...

You might want to push the window on the epoxy before you block it down and paint. More time to cure, lot of material there.
