    the one i got is a cheap one off Amazon R&D about $75.00. That's what i got it for to check thickness before cut and buff. you are correct everyone is going to be different, I thought i was a heavy sprayer but now I think i should go heavier or 4 coats to get the mils to cut and buff.

    I finally got a MIL gauge to see how thick i was putting on the clear. Euro 2020 mixed 4-1-1 With 3 coats i got 2.5 to 3 MILS. I thought i wold have had more than that. What is everyone else getting?

    I removed the latch and locking clip but the lock cylinder won't come out till I can get the slide cover off.

    ok, i took off the inside cover and locking clip also drilled out the top rivet . still no access to the bottom rivet, i can see it from the inside.

    1982 jeep cj7 Door Repair

    Has anyone repaired a Jeep door ? or can it be done..the doors are slightly wavy where the hinges mount to the door. and the door skin flexes when i twist the hinge by hand.. has anyone stiffened that section to get the flex out.

    I bought one from Russ, and love it sprays the Universal Clear really nice. I just need to find the sweet spot were this gun needs to be set, RUSS what were your settings for this gun.

    I also bought a 4500 xtreme form satarules, He's a great guy to deal with. I cleared a box side on Sunday with universal clear this gun flows it out real nice.

    I use SPI universal clear and have the same problem now and then, and all i use is RM Diamont paint. Would hardener help with the problem?

    I Have had this die back problem before even when i used all Rm products paint,reducers and clear. I have always mixed RM 1:1 and have never needed more that 3 or coats, so that made me wonder if 2:1 would be the problem. With Barry Thinking fan and it taking about 10 to 15 minutes to clear...

    Reduced at 1:1 it took 3 coats to cover . I would say i let the fan run about 10 minutes after the last coat to clear out the over spray.
