Bit off more than I can chew?

Cold temps before the epoxy is fully dry will kill the end result. It happened to me once and when I went to paint it it had tiny solvent pops all over it because the surface dried before the underside and had to be sanded off and reshot with epoxy making sure it stayed warm enough until it dried.

Air compressor in need of a new one, looking for suggested quality brands

Also installed the workshops own grounding rod with 4ga copper in conduit also. Code in Pa from what I heard afterwards was they require 2 ground rods for out buildings with a sub panel, just have to install a 4ga copper jump cable to connect them together not sure why but I will probably do...

Air compressor in need of a new one, looking for suggested quality brands

That melted breakers is the sub panel that ran the workshop. The breaker that melted is the compressors breaker. When I relocated the sub panel I ran 6ga wire for the compressor 8ga is what they said was needed so I went 1 size bigger so that never happens again. I also used "OO" burial service...

Air compressor in need of a new one, looking for suggested quality brands

Here is what happened to my 40amp breaker that powered my compressor when I bought it 18-20yrs ago. It's not so much the running amps as much as the surge amps which can hit 60-70amps on start up. I had to run new service cable and rewire a new sub panel I now have a 100amp panel with enough...

Air compressor in need of a new one, looking for suggested quality brands

I agree with Chris. I have never heard if a 7.5hp being anymore unreliable then a 5hp. The only thing I can say is on any 7.5hp compressor they have the same exact pump as a 5hp but are spinning faster to get more CFM and that wares the pump and valves out a lot faster as a result, the only...

Air compressor in need of a new one, looking for suggested quality brands

Thats a real good way to have it set up. I was thinking it could have been a 7.5hp with a 10hp pump. Champion has one of those and would have liked to have gotten that one but my electric service at the time couldn't handle the extra load the 7.5hp required. My compressor guy said if I needed...

The 120-160 time is refered to as recovery time, start with a full tank then using a blow gun let the air out till it kicks on time it until it shuts off. My pressure switch is factory set to cut-in at 120psi and cut-out at 160psi. It's good to have those numbers and times to help with any...

Air compressor in need of a new one, looking for suggested quality brands

This is how I have mine set up. A timed auto drain for the tank is highly recommended also if you don't have one on it along with a "HIT" (hot or high inlet temp) air drier. My drier is rated at 35cfm over kill but that to me is a good thing.

Mines the vr5-8. I bought it new from our air compressor guy that maintained the shops compressor (just a guess) 20 years ago mabey?.. never a lick of problems ever. I keep this attached to my compressor and watch it from time to time to make sure it's running it's best.

Can't get DS door gapped and aligned properly- gap is too big or body lines don't match.

Do you have the weight on the suspension (wheels on, on the ground) or are you doing this with the car on jack stands? If on jack stands that is never a good idea, the car will flex and you will have a mess on your hands.

why you never use POR-15 EVER!!!!

Not true at all. Those pics of my rockers were brand new replacement rockers and were 80grt sanded inside and out and were prepped properly and had Por-15 applied inside and out before I installed them and you can clearly see the absolutely disgusting mess they turned into. In fact the whole...
