    Sanding and polishing observations

Tex are: comparisons between the foam and wool pads. Compounds make a lot of difference in first cut and a polyurethane is not going too buff good with a foam pad. Reason hood looks better than roof the foam left scratches in the first cutting that you can't see.

    Clear over DP-90?

No will be a short term and no better than 3 months at best. (still will not look good after done either) Time to sand the DP with 180 and re-epoxy and at that point use a matte black or base clear. Just remember as I have covered many times, no matter how good the UV protection is in a clear...

Wait time between epoxy and basecoat.

Once you get past the 4 hour mark, NO! There is no cut and dried answer on epoxy but I use to try and keep base being applied no longer than 24 hours and now after extensive testing I seem to be throwing out the 3 day deal with no sanding. After 7 days I don't like base being applied even if...

Wait time between epoxy and basecoat.

No i would spray your sealer coat of epoxy day before you base. Leave it in primer for now, or you will need to sand epoxy and recoat before base

    Dot 3 poured on universal.

4 gallons is perfect. I use the same size panel seen in clear test from home depot. Main reason for so much is for more stable dot3 and more accurate testing.

    Dot 3 poured on universal.

One was Marina blue and other LA-Ferrari blue. I test the epoxy by soaking in a 5 gallon bucket every 2 years or so and every 2 weeks or so pull out panel, wipe off and stick back in. The clear I have not tested since we backed out of aviation years ago, so thought why not.
