What clear coat to use?

I have never used SPI clear, so what clear do I use, or what info do you need to suggest a clear?

Describe your project or if you are in the trade what your usual work is. Also your spray conditions and air/gun setup.

The last car I painted was 15 years ago it still looks good, but I’m having my latest project done by someone else. I just don’t have the space or a booth. I got most of the prep work done using SPI primers. I want to use SPI clear and my painter is ok with using it. It will be sprayed in a booth, but I don’t know much about it. Here’s my last Jeep I painted. I used PPG base and clear.

I start with the 5000 clear as very child proof and easy to handle, kinda help you get back in groove after 15 years!

What clear for an experienced painter? I’m not painting it, but I really like SPI products, so I told my painter I wanted to use SPI clear. He’s never used it but is willing to try.
Here’s his Facebook page. He does incredible sheet metal work.

If it is a Restoration or a restro mod we ONLY recommend the universal clear #4000
