Acrylic enamel with hardener recoat time

I'm doing some painting on my tractor and am using Valspar Tractor and Implement enamel. It's cheap consumer grade material and doesn't provide any of the information I'm use to. I also have little experience with single stage systems. It's a tractor; I farm my hay with it and I'm kind of doing a no f*cks given paint job on it :p

Can says to recoat after 24 hours, if I'm adding hardener (added at 1:16) does that recoat time generally decrease and to what? Is hardener added to both coats?

And after how long can I apply the vinyl decals?

Does the paint can say acrylic enamel ? Iam not sure but years ago you would spray first coat with activator like a tack coat and wait to it's almost dry then next full coat with activator. This was the old Enamel paint and may be what you have. Any on line info ? I also bet the tractor will turn out great the jobs you don't take a lot of time or care about look great !

Its an alkyd and used very often, we have had good luck clearing after setting overnight, so re-coating after 24 hrs should be no issue.
Decals from feed back I get is 4-7 days.
Best thing you did was activate or re-coat would be 7-9 months.

As Barry said, you can clear over after 24 hours. The clear will keep it looking a lot better for a lot longer. That said, I really don't like the stuff.

If I clear it, can I still touch up with spray paint (without fear of lifting the clear) as the tractor gets scratched up from....being a tractor?

I'm completely out of my element if I'm not trying to do a show job
