Universal Clear, Ultraviolet Protection, and Buffing

Sounds like he is also, because as expensive as that one is, if it did do that we could leave out and save a bunch of money per gallon.

My thoughts. Don't ever believe what a paint rep says. About thirty years ago a paint rep told me his new product (can't remember what it was) would "blow my hair back". His product was completely over sold but I never forgot his words, "blow your hair back". ~BOB

Despite times require despite measures (smack talk) from these reps, it is getting bad and will only be getting worse. With the Ins Co.'s cutting our times and material we are forced to look at what will get the job done the cheapest and hope that it will last until the next hit or they trade it in.

3M is now covering our area smack talking Lord Fusor and want everyone to switch to their products and are willing to buy back all the Fusor in the shop and provide us with the guns to apply it from seam sealer to bumper repair etc.

Crash........ I use to have a Rep / salesman from PPG who would be in every week, run around shake every can of every product in my shop , a real pain. Never bought or used his stuff .................showed him the door after 2 months. Time waster

Yeah, I don't like the guy, but he represents the company I buy from, so it would be best if I could get along with him. Probably I will just keep smiling and nodding my head, like, whatever, dude.

He may be talking about Ceramic clear coat. The ceramic particals come to the top as the clear cures. If you sand through that ceramic layer you've essentially "ruined" that clear coat.

I remember I worked at a bodyshop that when PITA salespeople showed up, one or more of the painters would start "gun cleaning" by spraying the air full of gun cleaner; particularly in the direction of the unwanted salesman. I guess that's a No-No with today's environmental regs, but it worked like a charm back then to get rid of them.
