Ppg vs spi ?

Ppg states that if epoxy is applied and sits until it is out of recoat window, it must be scuffed and reapplied. Does that mean. I can't scuff and apply 2k primer unless I do recoat with epoxy? The reason I ask here is that I plan on switching to spi epoxy after this project and need to know if this is the case with all epoxies. Thx

NO!! Never use tech sheet from one epoxy for another, there are a 1000 ways to make an epoxy.
The same advice would go for clears and base-coats also as a lot off different factors here.

Also on tech line, i will give different answers after i ask my usual 100 questions but at that point i feel i can change things for the person I'm talking to.

Thx Barry...so I assume I could go strait to 2k primer after scuffing SPI epoxy outside its recoat window?. I'm just trying to find quality products that can work best with my limited time in the shop.

Depends but as long as not outside and any extreme baking or infared lamps used, scuff with 180 by hand.
