What wax does everyone suggest.....you too Barry

Speaking of waxes, has anyone used Pinnacle Souveran Carnuba wax for their first wax job? They process the Carnuba twice to be pure then add polymers to produce a hard finish. I'm about to wax for the first time (my paint is about 90 days old but spent 90% of that time in my shop) and want to see which brand is typically used!

After just 90 days you should have no real reason to wax yet especally since it was in the garage 90% of that time. The sun exposure is what is really needed to get it to the best state of cure for both primer and clears. I'm guessing you used SPI products for the project?

Yes - all SPI. It was in the shop while I finished the restoration. I'm finished and about to start driving it; that's why I wanted some protection on the paint. Too much work to screw it up! Barry said I could to use Carnauba wax and I was just wondering what wax people used on fresh paint.

i used mothers carnuba for years now i use that junk from chemical guys along with their crappy compounds .

After outgas and polishing to perfection I use Optimum Polymer Technologies Opti Seal paint sealant. You can do a whole car in 5 minutes or less. In between sealing I use Optimum Polymer Technologies Spray Wax. It got on the whole car including glass and chrome. Another option for dark colors is Blackfire. It is a 2 step process with a paint sealant and then 8 hours or next day you apply a pure carnuba wax. Looks amazing on dark colors.
