Not sure where to post this one, but I'm interested in the social media option of SPI. I am not into social media or face book or any of those computer social sites, other than some restoration sites and paint forums like this one. I am interested in how much incoming garbage comes with joing a site like face book. For you of those who belong to SPI Face book, can you tell me a little bit about it?
 
Trying to bring this thread back up for input. I have still not signed up for face book because I am afraid it will cause a landslide of crap on my computer.
 
It's all dependent on how much time you put into it and how many pages you join, if you have no friends on there and don't join any pages you won't have much going on.
 
The major thing on FB at the moment are friends and family bashing each other over the current political environment. But I do like the idea of an SPI page. The nice thing is you can pick and choose whom and what you want to hear from.
 
Thanks for the input, Ill be considering it. Im not a real sociallite in my senior years.
 
If you only use it for conversation then it is harmless to your computer. Where you can get into trouble is playing the games and using the other "apps".
 
for me it's simple . one game request i unfriend you. i dont use apps period. i dont watch football or any other sports so i avoid that crap.
the spi page has been there for a long time but it is only used by a few.
 
Thanks, I think I will give it a try and be careful not to get any further than SPI.
