nice work
For a loooong time, I was 2.5-3 turns out. Used a lot of material and was shrouded in over spray. I backed down to 1.5 or so and have found that my metallics are laying down so much better, my clear is so much better and the over spray is minimal. I'm using the 1.3 with the TE20 air cap.Ok, I have to update my own personal posts in this thread. Last night I shot the UV clear with my Tekna ProLite, 1.4, 2 turns outs, fan wide open @ 25-26psi and it laid out better than ever. There is 5 coats of clear on this thing. I started with 2.5 turns out and it was too much on the first 2 coats so I tightened it up abit. Couldn't be happier with the results.
I'm not sure where or why I started spraying at 40psi, but I can only imagine that I carried my setting from my older guns over. While it worked I knew I was burning through material way more than I should have been.
How was the finish? Was 1.5 a bit too slow for you?@25psi and 2 turns out it wasn't nearly as bad as it was..
