I'm listed in a few places for cars that are new listings for a certain model GTO and for older Ferrari's.
In last two months have gotten some great deals sent to me!! LOL
A 69 Ram air 4 100 point car $9,000, 69 RS/SS Convt original owner with 20,000 miles $12,000.
A Ferrari yesterday with a vale of 1.2 to 2.2 million perfect condition Under $100,000.

These cars do not exist, and the story is always the (about) same, car is being shipped to them from their other residence and as soon as it gets here in a month or so I have 10 people that want it BUT I will hold it for you if you wire $10,000 to my account and if you don't like I will refund.
I would bet on that Ferrari the guy in 2-3 weeks could get hundreds of thousands in deposits.

No body has one of these high dollar cars and don't have a clue what they are worth, I bet in last two months have gotten a dozen of these emails.

If it looks to good to be true, it is.

Sort of like those scams where people call to tell you how your PC is infected and sending errors on the internet. I'm in IT so I like to screw with them before they finally catch on and hang up on me. Sadly though there are people who will fall for these scams.

Variation on the Nigerian Lottery Scam. When I hear about these things I wonder who could be so naive/gullible? Who in their right mind is gonna let a million dollar Ferrari go for 100 grand? The PC scams I can see where some people will fall for those. Especially older folks who are intimidated by a computer. All of these creeps deserve to meet up with Delbert and Cletus and their banjo playing cousin in the North Georgia Mountains. I can almost smell the bacon now....:)

I'm still waiting for the IRS to come arrest me and take me to jail. I was told they were on their way a few weeks ago, guess they got lost, ha

yes barry, the same thing goes on if you list your car for sale on site like auto trader or whatever. usually you will have someone send you an email or msg wanting to buy the car. they pretty much offer you full price for the car + additional for freight to send the car to them. they tell you that they will set up the freight. they give you a fake freight company and tell you that its all set up and all you need to do is send the freight company $1600 to cover that so they can come pick it up. once you do that they they will western union the purchase price for the car+ the freight cost that you send the company. just wonder how many people actually send these guys $1600. on paypal there is an entire page on this exact scam that explains it step by step. 3 different people in 2 weeks tried to get me with it when i put my x-runner up for sale last october.

I came across a 66 malibu allegedly for sale in southern Idaho. Seller said it was in Payute, I told the seller no problem I can be there in 2 days. Then seller said the car was in a warehouse in Meridian and that I misunderstood the car being at their place of residence. Next they told me it was in an ebay warehouse and their agent would have to be there to let anyone in and that required a payment to an Ebay escrow acct. I said awesome, I have a friend with a body shop (Crash) right near there and he will act as my agent, come inspect the car and documents, and if all is good he will pay and haul the car. Never heard back from the scammer, LOL.

The one I like is the buyer will Text us about car for sale " we can not call on base and not allow to use phone " . And of course they want us to send title and all of our info!!!!!!!

For those that don't know the routine if selling, your banker will set up a new account and once they wire the money he will close the account and transfer it to your other account.
First time I felt the overseas buyer was aok and did not want to open a new account but like he said, they can clean out any money in there in a matter of seconds and once gone, its gone.

There is no charge for this except they make you deposit a dollar to open the account.

I once sold a car on craigslist, the buyer test drove with me and then we went to his bank while I watched the teller make me a offical check then we went to the DMV to transfer it. I would sell or buy except for a face to face transfer.

Besides having the body shop we are a dealer and will list a car on craigs list or other sites and theses scum scammers come out of the wood work and will copy our add in there text waning a good email address. I don't respond as now they have more info to sell back overseas. But Barry the cars sound like a good deal!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL .................. oh they are not allowed to use the phone at work

My buddy just fell for a scam - can’t believe it - he’s not stupid ! Guy was slick I guess . Out $30,000 for a vette from Alabama- car never showed up and once the money cleared he was gone- so many ways to check on legitimacy- he just got caught up in a “helluva deal”

I feel for him but it happens everyday, no matter how nice of a guy he may seem selling the car, trust no one if you don't know the guy.
Same with buying a car from an auction, people assume and then find cardboard and filler when they get it delivered.

WOW this has to be a one off Ferrari, worth a lot of $20 bills. Shine should be good for the million dollars or so.
