So here's the deal, I feel like I may need different gun for my spraying style or I just need to slow down which doesn't feel natural to me. My current gun is an Iwata lph400 silver cap and I feel like I'm working way to hard to keep things wet, I know this seems to be the go to gun around here but not all shoes fit the same feet either LOL. Current project I'm shooting SS black with gun settings fluid 2 and 3/4 turns out and fan 90% @ 28 psi. I don't have a lot spray experience but just having a hard time slowing down for the gun to catch up if that makes since. I'm look for some insight from you guys with much more experience than myself.

you know the 75% overlap seems to be $1100 cheaper LOL
You can get the full line of Sata's at Spraygunsdirect. They are in the UK but shipping is less than $50. Here is an example

The price in USD is less than $600. Around $590.

Would you stay with the 1.4 rp for high solid's and what is preferred an I or O pattern

Sata RP 1.3 O Nozzle is perfect for all clears including SPI Universal, Euro, Speed, Production. The O nozzle is the classic fan pattern for a Sata. The I nozzle is more like the Iwatas. If you spray fast get the O. If you prefer spraying slower get the I.
A RP 1.4 is a real hoser. Only recommend that for someone who has a lot of experience and sprays fast. The 1.3 RP is perfect for clear IMO.

Forgot to add the VAT doesn't apply to purchases going out of the UK or the EU.

I picked up a used Sata 4000 B RP 1.3 a while back for $250 and rebuilt it for about $100 bucks. Best gun I ever sprayed clear with. Took a while to get use to it. Need to get a smaller cup for it too.

Where is that Italian seller from, I think Ebay? They didn't offer "I" and "o" patterns when I got the 5000B RP 1.3. Been awhile since I used it but I think the pattern is more flat or "I"? I do remember we figured out here the RP 1.3 was actually more than 1.5.
Other than that I don't know what is different on a 5500 from a 5000.

The Italian ebay guy isn't selling them anymore. He had the best prices by far. The O and I patterns only apply to the current 5500 models. The normal/traditional pattern is the O.

I am a devilbiss guy from day one....had a couple of iwatas, but always stuck with devilbiss, with that being said, I'd be lying if I said I didn't want one of the new satas..

I sell the X5500 HVLP 1.3 "O" non digital # 1061952 $740, or digital # 1062132 $880. I don't know if that's high or low, but that's where I am at.

Thanks Chris, this was the advice I was looking for. I looked up the price this morning and it's better than the Sagola 4500 I had also been looking at thanks again!!
